We are thrilled to announce Marcy Marrero as the new Director of Education for Ojalá Niños.

Marcy brings over 10 years of experience in science, technology, robotics, and STEAM education, serving children and adolescents ages 4–17. As Co-Founder of DivertRobots and Founder of DivertRobots STEAM Lab, she has developed innovative, hands-on programs that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in young learners .

Her leadership extends beyond the classroom. Marcy has:

• Designed bilingual science and technology programs.

• Led interdisciplinary STEM initiatives.

• Coordinated national and international student competition participation.

• Provided teacher training and homeschool mentorship.

• Served on organizing committees for major robotics competitions across Latin America.

Marcy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and graduate studies in Educational Leadership and Management, combining strong organizational strategy with educational excellence . She is also a Certified Robotics Instructor through Tecnológico de Monterrey / LEGO Education .

As a former Board Member of Ojalá Niños , Marcy already understands our mission deeply. In her new role as Director of Education, she will lead academic strategy, strengthen program quality, mentor teachers, and expand opportunities for children in our community.

Her commitment to experiential learning, inclusive education, and structured, student-centered environments aligns beautifully with our vision for the future.

We are excited for this next chapter and the expanded impact her leadership will bring to our students, families, and community.
